History and Development of Theatre
Theatre, one of humanity’s oldest art forms, has undergone a long and dynamic journey. The birth of ancient Greek theatre: Considered the foundation of Western theatre, these plays often revolved around themes of mythology, heroes, and fate. The development of the Greek stage with actors, singers, and dancers created a comprehensive artistic experience.
Shakespearean theatre and the Renaissance: Shakespeare, with his classic plays like Hamlet, Romeo and Juliet, and Macbeth, took theatre to a new height. He deeply explored human psychology and complex social issues, creating immortal works.

Musical Theatre:
A combination of music, dance, and spoken drama, creating a comprehensive and colorful artwork.
The Development of Theatre in Vietnam
Vietnamese theatre also has a long and rich history, going through many stages of development with its own unique characteristics. From traditional theatrical forms like Chèo, Cải lương, and Tuồng, to modern spoken theatre, each form of theatre has its own beauty and contributes to the diverse cultural landscape of Vietnam.
The importance of theatre in social life: Theatre is not only a form of entertainment but also a means of education, propaganda, reflecting social reality, and shaping people’s awareness and thinking.
