Current Status of Climate Change

Causes of Climate Change
The main cause of climate change is the greenhouse effect. The emission of greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide (CO2), methane (CH4), and nitrous oxide (N2O) from human activities, such as burning fossil fuels, deforestation, and livestock farming, increases the Earth’s temperature.

Solutions to Address Climate Change
Addressing climate change requires a collective effort from the entire world. Some important solutions include:
- Reducing greenhouse gas emissions: Transitioning to renewable energy sources such as solar, wind, and geothermal energy; increasing energy efficiency; developing public transportation and environmentally friendly vehicles.
- Protecting and restoring forests: Planting trees, protecting existing forests, and preventing deforestation.
- Developing sustainable agriculture: Using organic fertilizers, reducing pesticide use, and conserving biodiversity.
- Adapting to climate change: Building early warning systems for natural disasters; investing in climate-resilient infrastructure; developing drought- and salt-tolerant crops and livestock.
