Current Status of Global Climate

The Earth is facing unprecedented climate changes in history. These changes not only affect the natural environment but also have serious impacts on the economy, society, and human life.

Causes of Climate Change

The greenhouse effect is the main cause of global warming. These gases trap heat in the atmosphere, causing the Earth’s temperature to rise.

Rising temperatures and changing habitats are threatening the survival of many plant and animal species. Many species are facing the risk of extinction.

Solutions to Address Climate Change

To mitigate the impacts of climate change, comprehensive solutions are needed, including:

  • Reduce greenhouse gas emissions: Transition to renewable energy (solar, wind, hydropower…), improve energy efficiency, and develop public transportation.
  • Protect and restore forests: Plant trees, protect existing forests to increase CO2 absorption capacity.
  • Develop sustainable agriculture: Reduce greenhouse gas emissions from agriculture, and increase the resilience of crops to climate change.
  • Adapt to climate change: Build flood and drought control structures, invest in research and development of drought-resistant and salt-tolerant crop varieties.
